This 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour will not only provide you with an unforgettable experience in the country, but it is also the ideal package for a short hike in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. The first day is reserved for arrival and transportation, the second for mountain gorilla trekking, and the third for departure.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Ruhengeri Volcanoes National Park.
When you arrive, you will be received by a representative from our firm and transferred to Ruhengeri, the closest town to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda’s northern province. The drive from Kigali takes three hours. You will settle into your accommodation and then participate in an optional community tour of Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience, or you will relax and spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge with full board meals.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park.
On the second day of your Rwanda safari, you will have an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for a briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00 a.m. After the briefing, you will begin your gorilla trekking expedition, escorted by ranger guides, in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ mobility, but the rangers will try to find them were they were last seen the day before! You will spend an hour with these gentle giants before returning to your lodge to recharge and unwind while reflecting on your trip. In the evening, one of Volcanoes National Park’s head wardens will give an in-depth talk about gorillas.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali and airport drop-off.
You will have breakfast before returning to Kigali for a city tour that will include stops at the Museum, Genocide memorials, and crafts markets for gift shopping. Later, you will proceed to the airport for your onwards departure with wonderful memories of a three-day Rwanda gorilla safari, but if you want to spend the night in Kigali and depart the same day, we can arrange for you to stay in one of our partner safari lodges.
