The 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari allows you to experience Uganda’s second largest national park, a UNESCO heritage site, with plenty of game watching and a spectacular boat trip.
3 Days Queen Elizabeth Luxury Safari Overview
This bundle is mostly geared towards upscale clients. This package includes the best lodging in the national park, Mweya Safari Lodge. There is also a possibility to fly to and from Mweya Airstrip.
Day one: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Have breakfast and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is accessible from Kampala via tarmac, Mbarara (420 km), or Fort Portal via Kasese (410 km). The park is approximately 5-6 hours away from Kampala by surface road via Mbarara. Upon arrival, you will go on an afternoon game drive.
Tracking is the only opportunity to observe all of the wildlife in their natural habitat, including buffalo, elephants, and other animals that live in the grassland thickets of the Northern Kazinga near Mweya. Most often, one can spot lions in the eastern section of the Kasenyi plains and along the Kasese road, where they hunt Uganda’s large Kob population. The best times for game drives are in the morning and late afternoon. Mweya Safari Lodge serves dinner and offers overnight accommodations.
Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise.
You will embark on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, where you will see a variety of small and large game, and in the afternoon, take a launch cruise in the Kazinga canal, where you may see numerous water birds and animals as they come down to drink and bathe. Mweya Safari Lodge serves dinner and offers overnight accommodations.
Day 3: Kampala
After breakfast, you will travel back to Kampala, stopping in Mbarara for lunch and at the Equator for photography and experimentation. Proceed to Kampala, arriving late afternoon. Drop off at your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your next trip.
