This 3 Days Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari Uganda is an excellent weekend getaway for individuals, families, and friends with limited time to visit. Game watching in Murchison Falls is spectacular, and a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls provides another excellent opportunity to see additional species and enjoy the beautiful scenery that this park affords.
The normal three-day safari is only available to those who are already in Kampala or plan to arrive in the morning so that they can move directly to Murchison. Otherwise, you will need one more day, bringing the total to four days.
3 Days Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari Overview
This three-day Murchison Falls wildlife tour encompasses all the primary activities required in this wonderful Uganda safari park. If you wish to do Chimpanzee Trekking, you must add an extra day to make it four in total. There are three categories for safari accommodations: budget, mid-range, and luxury.
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls.
The guide will take you up from an agreed-upon place in Kampala, Entebbe, or the airport and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you might choose to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda’s only place to see rhinos.
Proceed to Masindi for lunch and then to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the afternoon. You will enter the park through the Kichumbanyobo gate and reach the top of the falls before returning to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay at either Fort Murchison resort or Paraa Safari Lodge for luxury.
Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise.
Breakfast will be served early, followed by a wildlife drive in the hopes of seeing some of the big five, which include lions, buffaloes, and elephants. Giraffes are common sightings, as are antelopes, impalas, and primates such as baboons.
After lunch, take a launch boat on the park’s distinctive Murchison Falls to see hippos and a variety of huge crocodiles up close. The launch voyage also offers bird watching possibilities. Dinner and stay at the lodge, as described above.
Day Three: Kampala
You will have breakfast before driving back to Kampala via Masindi. Drop off at your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your next trip.
