The 3 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari is an amazing safari that allows you to interact directly with endangered mountain gorillas. During your three-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari, your driver guide will greet you and transport you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to Africa’s largest population of endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located in southern Uganda’s Kanungu district and is notable for its mountain gorillas, which can be found in four sectors: Rushaga, Buhoma, Ruhija, and the Nkuringo sector. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park can therefore take place in one of the sectors.

You will journey via Masaka district, the equator, where you will stop for pictures, beautiful views of landscapes, roadside markets, craft shops, local people, and many other sights, as well as a lunch stop in Mbarara town.
After lunch, you will continue your journey through Kabale town to the Buhoma area in the northern portion of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you will eat dinner and spend the night at the lodge.
Buhoma Sector has three accommodation options: Buhoma Lodge (luxury), Buhoma Community Haven Lodge (midrange), and Buhoma Rest Camp (cheap).
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
You will wake up early, eat breakfast at the lodge, and then meet your driver guide at the park headquarters for a briefing on the expectations, norms, and restrictions of gorilla trekking. Based on your interests and physical fitness, we will divide you into groups of eight for each habituated gorilla group after the briefing. Each party of eight persons will be assigned a park guide. At 8:00 a.m., you will begin trekking into the rainforest, where you will see vegetation, tree species, and bird species, among others. Gorilla trekking will take between 2 and 8 hours, depending on where the gorilla family is located. Once the gorilla family has been located, you will spend one hour with the gorillas in their natural habitat, learning more about their lifestyle and behaviours, taking photos with flashless cameras, and recording videos, among other things.
After your interaction with the gorilla family, you will return to the starting area, where you will receive a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and meet your guide. After a brief gorilla trekking excursion, your guide will transport you to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale town, which is Uganda’s deepest lake and the second deepest in Africa. Canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi will provide you with beautiful views of the scenery, lake, islands, terraces, farmlands, bird species, and other unique and breathtaking experiences. After paddling on Lake Bunyonyi, you’ll return to the resort for dinner and stay.
